Do I need to travel to Los Angeles for the first conversation?
Ask the team about phone or video consultation availability. A remote legal consultation does not replace an agency interview, biometrics appointment or court appearance required in your case.
What if I already filed a case with another representative?
Bring the complete submission, notices and decisions, not only a receipt number. The team needs to understand what was asserted and what is still pending before discussing a new strategy. Any change in representation should also account for current deadlines and the record held by the agency or court.
Can a change in my family or job affect the plan?
It can. Marriage, divorce, a child’s circumstances, an employer change or the sponsor’s naturalization may affect the analysis depending on the category. Tell counsel promptly so the effect can be assessed before travel or another filing. Do not assume an old approval answers every new question.
Does an immigration filing give me permission to work or travel?
Do not assume that it does. A petition, an application for residence, an employment document and travel permission serve different functions. The applicable status, category and current rules need to be checked before starting work or leaving the United States.
Is the consultation free?
Consultations are paid. Contact the team to confirm the available appointment, fee and scope before booking. Legal representation is addressed separately.
Can I discuss my case in Portuguese or Spanish?
The team communicates in English, Portuguese and Spanish. Tell the team your preferred language when scheduling and identify any documents written in another language.
